The season to be jolly may be fast approaching, but why wait until December? Why not stay in high spirits, embrace that feeling of joy and optimism every day of the year? There you go—I have given you permission to go against the grain.

This year’s theme is about reconnecting with yourself and starting projects that light you up inside. Our cover star Frances Tophill, knows a thing or two about changing people’s perspectives on outdoor spaces, as seen on ITV’s Love Your Garden and the very glamorous Chelsea Flower Show.

I took a huge step out of my comfort zone and enjoyed a fabulous styling session with TV presenter and stylist, Nicky Hambleton-Jones. I thought it high time to celebrate and show off my new size 8 figure, having dropped from a size 16—now that was life changing!

We also discover how tailor Caroline Andrew is keeping British manufacturing alive and hear Oscar-nominated actress Keira Knightley share her love for writing as she launches her new children’s book.

Naturally, December is a great month to break out into song but remember: Singing is allowed all year round! Even if you feel there is nothing to be happy about, get your 'jolly' on, and you will soon realise that happiness really starts from within. After that, you will be able to weather any storm that may arise.
